What is a Tornado

A tornado is a sping cloud of dust and debrese. The speeds on the ground are faster then a hurricane. The tornadoes move acrouse the ground at 30-40 mph. A tornado can be from 10 feet wide to 60 miles wide!

These are the categories for a Tornado

F0=up to 70 mph
F1=73-112 mph
F2=113-157 mph
F3=158-206 mph
F4=207-260 mph
F5=261+ mph

  1. The fastest tornado speed can be up to 318 miles per hour!! And some can be really slow at 18 miles per hour! From 1950 to 1994 the percent of F0 and F1 (weak) is 74% F2 and F3 is about 25% and F4 and F5 is 1%!! But F4's and F5's are the most deadliest. There is also an F6 and the winds speeds range from 319 miles per hour and 379 miles per hour!!!
